The Butler women's tennis team impressed on Saturday afternoon at the Butler Bubble, earning a 6-1 win over Bowling Green.
The Bulldogs started off strong, taking the doubles point in convincing fashion. The No. 1 pairing of
Natalie Boesing and
Chase Metcalf swept their match 6-0 while their teammates
Norah Balthazor and
Jordan Schildcrout also blanked their opponents at the No. 3 spot. The No. 2 duo,
Veronika Bruetting and
Delaney Schurhamer won their matchup 6-3.
The singles matches saw five Bulldogs win. Boesing won at the top spot after closing out the third set 6-1. Schurhamer, Balthazor, and
Emma Beavin won at the No. 3 No. 4 and No. 6 spots in straight sets.
Katie Beavin earned her point in a third set tiebreaker 10-2.
Butler travels to take on Cleveland State in their next matchup on Sunday, Feb. 5.
