QUEENS, N.Y. — The Butler volleyball team closed out their weekend trip on the East Coast with a five-set loss to St. John's (25-18, 25-15, 21-25, 20-25, 11-15).The Bulldogs now move to 4-7 in conference and 10-12 overall.
Among the Bulldogs' leaders of the match, Elise Ward actively contributed 15 of Butler's 54 kills of the match. In addition, Ward was amid some of Butler's top leaders for the match, contributing three aces, four blocks, and eight digs.
Cora Taylor led the Bulldogs in assists; completing 43 of the team's 48 assists for the night. Taylor also added seven digs to her performance in Saturday's match.
The Bulldogs went for 10-7 in aces and 53-51 in digs against the Red Storm. In addition to Ward's aces, Rylie Tam and Kaylee Finnegan also contributed to Butler's total aces for the match. Jaymeson Kinley lead the team in digs for the match, completing 21 of the team's total digs for the night.

The Bulldogs will return home for their last homestand of the season beginning with a match against Villanova on Friday, Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. Butler will then close out the weekend against Georgetown on Sunday, Nov. 5 with the first serve slated for noon.
