The Butler men finished off an impressive 2023 campaign by placing 21
st at the NCAA Cross Country Championships Saturday morning.

Florian Le Pallec was the first Bulldog to cross the finish line, placing 65
th in a time of 30:09.7.

st-place finish matched Butler's performance from the 2022 NCAA Championships.

The Bulldogs, ranked a season-high of No. 8 in this week's USTFCCCA national poll, were part of a field that featured the top 31 teams in the country at the Panorama Farms Cross Country Course in Earlysville, Va.

Oklahoma State claimed the NCAA title with 49 points, placing all five of their scorers among the Top 15. Northern Arizona (71) and BYU (196) joined them on the podium.

Graham Blanks of Harvard won the individual championship in a time of 28:37.7, followed by New Mexico's Habtom Samuel and Stanford's Ky Robinson before the first OSU runner.

This is Butler's fourth consecutive team appearance in the NCAA Championships. The Bulldogs have also captured three of the last four BIG EAST men's championships, including most recently Oct. 28.
The Butler men punched their ticket to the NCAA Championships by winning the 2023 Great Lakes Regional Nov. 10. It marked the first Great Lakes regional championship in program history.

ELSA RUSTHOVEN IN THE WOMEN'S RACE:
Elsa Rusthoven, competing in her first NCAA Championships, finished 191
st overall. She covered the 6k course in a time of 21:26.3.
Rusthoven, after placing 15
th at last week's Great Lakes Regional, earned one of four individual berths in the NCAA Championships out of the regional.

Florida's Parker Valby won the women's individual title in a time of 18:55.2. North Carolina State captured the NCAA team title, edging Northern Arizona by a single point (123-124).
