Head Coach Stephanie Wooten-Quijada wrapped up her first fall season with the Butler women's tennis team. The Bulldogs competed in the Michigan State Invitational in East Lansing, Mich. this past weekend. 
 
The Bulldogs competed in both doubles and singles play throughout the tournament. Participating schools included, Michigan State, Ball State, Gonzaga, Toledo, and BIG EAST member DePaul. 
 
On Friday, the Bulldogs had a strong showing their in singles matches, winning six of their eight matches. Junior, Norah Balthazor obtained a 2-1 record on the weekend in her singles matches, defeating Isabele Tanjuatco from Ball State and Marley Lambert from MSU. In addition, Delaney Schurhamer acquired a 2-1 record on the weekend in her singles matches, defeating Elena Malykh from Ball State and Sanjana Tallamraju from Toledo. Schurhamer finished out the fall season with a 4-1 record overall in singles play. 
 
Chase Metcalf and Natalie Boesing went 2-1 on the weekend in doubles play. They defeated opponents Issey Purser and Liisa Vehilainen from MSU and Elena Malykh and Ella Hazelbaker from Ball State over the course of the weekend.
 
The Butler women's tennis program will resume their 2023-24 season in the spring. Their schedule will be released at a later date.
