ORLANDO, Fla. – The Butler women's tennis team won its second conference match in as many days after coming from behind to edge Creighton, 4-3. The Bluejays were the second of three BIG EAST opponents the Bulldogs will play this week on the USTA National campus in Florida.
After Creighton captured the doubles point, the Bulldogs responded by taking the necessary four courts to take the team win.
Delaney Schurhamer won at No. 2 singles, while
Norah Balthazor,
Katie Beavin, and
Emma Beavin picked up wins on courts 4-6. Balthazor dropped the first set before recovering to edge her opponent with a third set tie-breaker.
The Bulldogs will conclude the week in Florida with a Friday match against Villanova.
