The Butler softball team opens BIG EAST play this weekend, hosting DePaul for a three-game series from Mar. 11 – Mar. 12. The Bulldogs (4-18) are coming off an 8-0 loss at Miami (Ohio), while the Blue Demons (8-8) most recently went 2-1 at the Palmer Park Clash in Virginia, defeating Fairfield and Saint Francis but losing to Virginia.

• Kieli Ryan has thrown out 6 runners attempting to steal. She sits atop the BIG EAST and is 17th nationally in that category.
• Monique Hoosen leads the BIG EAST (52nd nationally) with 5 home runs. With 18 for her career, she is 7th on Butler's all-time list. Her .636 slugging percentage is ninth in the conference.
