The Butler women's tennis season came to a close after the team dropped their BIG EAST Quarterfinals match to No. 2 seed DePaul. The Blue Demons won in a 4-2 score line on Friday morning.  
 
DePaul jumped out to a 1-0 lead after taking the doubles point. The No. 1 and No. 2 courts went in favor of the Blue Demons while the No. 3 went unfinished. 
 
Singles play featured plenty of close matches. DePaul won at the No. 5 court early before Chase Metcalf answered with a 7-6, 6-2 victory from the No. 3 to get Butler their first point. Again, DePaul earned a point from the No. 4 before Natalie Boesing brought the match back within one with a 7-5, 6-4 win from the No. 1. The Blue Demons clinched the 4-2 result after taking the No. 2 court. Emma Beavin was in a tied match from the No. 6 before going unfinished. 
 
The Bulldogs conclude the season with an 11-12 overall record.
