VB Recruit Jaeda Lockhart

Meet the @ButlerVB Newcomers: Jaeda Lockhart

| By:
Jaeda Lockhart is the latest addition to the Butler volleyball program, joining head coach Kyle Shondell's roster for the 2023 season.

The 5'-10" middle blocker graduated from Hudson High School in Hudson, Wisconsin, helping to lead her team to an overall record of 34-7 and a top-25 ranking in Wisconsin during her senior season.

"Jaeda plays in a way that makes you quickly forget she may be undersized at her position," stated Shondell. "She has great versatility that will only develop more once she gets in the gym here at Butler."

At Hudson, Lockhart was a three-year varsity starter and letterwinner who tallied 279 kills over 105 sets with a .379 hitting percentage. She also accumulated 28 solo blocks and 18 aces. The team captain earned All-State recognition and was All-Conference First Team as a senior, winning her team's Offensive Player of the Year award. As an individual, she ranked 247th nationally and was in Wisconsin's Top 24.

Lockhart was a member of the National Honor Society and received honor roll recognition each year. She played club volleyball for the Kokoro Volleyball 18-1's, taking third place at AAU National's in the 18 Open division.
