The Butler women's tennis program breaks the University of Illinois at Chicago's 12-match winning streak against the Bulldogs that dates back to 2009. The Bulldogs defeated the Flames 4-3 on Tuesday afternoon at the Butler Bubble. 
 
Freshman Elle Martin clinched the team outcome for the Bulldogs with the first dual match win of her career. Martin defeated Anais Brion in a tight 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 finish. Norah Balthazor won her match in a close three set match against Camille Belberka, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Senior Delaney Schurhamer defeated Tamara Malazonia in an intense 2-6, 7-6(2), 6-4 victory. 
 
In doubles play, Norah Balthazor and Lauren Cook obtain their first doubles victory of the spring season. Balthazor and Cook defeated Zara Ryan and Anais Brion in a 6-4 win. 
 
Heading into today's match, the Flames were 35-2 against the Bulldogs and obtained an 11-1 record on the road at Butler. 
 
The Bulldogs will travel to Jonesboro, Ark. to take on Lindenwood on Saturday, February 3^rd.
