Butler Athletics is pleased to announce its inaugural Butler Softball Long Ball Derby which will take place at 4:30pm ET on October 29, 2024, at Bulldog Park on Butler's campus. The Long Ball Derby is a fun and unique way to support the Butler Softball program. Fans can select a desired donation increment (i.e. 25 cents, 50 cents, $1, $2, etc.) as well as a student-athlete, coach, or guest hitter. Each hitter will have 10 at-bats to record their longest ball. Utilizing the Trackman system for optimal accuracy, each hitter's longest ball will then be multiplied by the selected donation increment for a gift in support of the program.
"This is a great way for all Bulldogs Fans to support our student-athletes and our Softball program," said Sr. Assoc. AD for Development J Locklier. "We are excited for this unique opportunity for our fans to engage with our student-athletes and coaches while making a direct impact on their program."
