Butler midfielder Talia Sommer has been selected BIG EAST Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week following her performances last week vs. St. John's and at Creighton.

Sommer dished out an assist on four of the Bulldogs' five total goals this past week. She assisted on all three goals in the 3-0 victory over the Red Storm and then added another on Butler's first goal in the 2-2 draw with the Bluejays.

The Bulldogs host Villanova this Thursday in their final regular-season match and will then begin postseason play, hosting a BIG EAST quarterfinal match on Sunday, Nov. 3.
