LEESBURG, VA. — The Bulldog men secured second at the 2024 BIG EAST Conference Championship Presented by JEEP. Butler had seven different student-athletes on the men's team earn All-BIG EAST honors.

The conference championships were held at Morven Park and hosted by Georgetown.

Men's Race

William Zegarski led the way for the Bulldogs covering the conference course in 23:45.50. Florian Le Pallec and Austin Gabay were just behind in sixth and eighth at 24:02.03 and 24:06.51.

Rounding out the scorers were David Slapak in 11th at 24:18.02 and Luke Henseler in 13th at 24:19.08. 

Martin Kovacech and Sean Byrnes were the last Bulldogs to earn All-BIG EAST honors after Kovacech placed 17th at 24:34.79 and Byrnes earned 20th at 24:50.14.

Butler came in second as a team totaling 41 points, but falling just behind Villnova who won the race with a score of 35 points.

Women's Race

Wiktoria Klebowska was the top finisher for the Bulldogs placing 21st at 21:15.35. Hannah Moore and Ashlyn Minton followed in 32nd and 34th at 21:58.38 and 21:59.58.

Ashley Learn and Renate Toldo rounded out the scorers for the Bulldogs with Learn coming in 44th at 22:23.53 and Renate Toldo in 46th at 22:27.05.

As a team, Butler totaled 152 points. Georgetown would take the crown with a score of 42 points.
