The Series with the Golden Eagles

• The teams first met more than a century ago as Marquette pulled out an 18-17 win on Dec. 16, 1922.
• The two neutral-site contests both came during the 2012-13 season: a Rotnei Clarke three-pointer at the buzzer to secure a Butler win as part of the Maui Invitational and a 74-72 win by Marquette in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in what would be Brad Stevens's final game as the head coach at Butler before he joined the Boston Celtics.
• Butler then joined the BIG EAST beginning with the following 2013-14 season and the most recent 21 match-ups have come as conference foes.

• Davis made all four of his free throw attempts Saturday, raising his season mark to 96.4 percent, which is No. 1 nationally.
• Butler was able to overcome an uncharacteristic 16 turnovers in Saturday's win over Providence. It marked the second-most committed by the Bulldogs this season (trailing only 18 at Marquette Jan. 10; another game Butler won). Butler has 13 games this season with 10 or fewer turnovers, and the Bulldogs are 11-4 this season when committing fewer turnovers than their opponent.
• Butler has 12 games this season scoring 80 points or more (including seven games of 90 or more).
• Showcasing the season-long prowess of the Bulldog offense, Butler has allowed 90 points in four games this season...and has won three of those games.
• The Bulldogs commit just 13.8 fouls per game, which ranks ninth nationally.
• Davis set a career-high with eight rebounds against Providence, while Jahmyl Telfort tied his personal-best with eight assists.

• Davis has made 15 of 29 attempts from three-point range (52 percent) over the last four games.
• Telfort is shooting 57 percent from the field (37-65) over his last five games. This five-game stretch includes two of his four 20-point performances this season.
• The Bulldogs have eclipsed both their overall and BIG EAST win totals from last season despite having a month remaining on the regular season schedule.

Where the Dawgs Stack Up
• Posh Alexander leads the BIG EAST and is 13th nationally at 2.39 steals per game.

• Alexander's 55 steals are already ninth on Butler's single-season list.
• Pierre Brooks II is third in the BIG EAST in three-point percentage (41.4) and fifth in three-pointers made per game (2.5). His three-point percentage ranks 23rd nationally.

The Month of Opportunity
• Butler's February schedule includes eight games, all against teams ranked No. 76 or better in the NCAA NET metric (as of Monday, Feb. 12). Four of those games, including the win at Creighton Feb. 2, are on the road. Life in the BIG EAST...

Home, Sweet Hinkle
