First Time Around
• Butler won a 99-98 shootout in Omaha between the two teams Feb. 2. It was the first BIG EAST game since 2011 with both teams scoring 95 or more in regulation.
• The Bulldogs were without
Posh Alexander in that match-up due to a foot injury.
• Butler went 13-for-22 from three-point range at Creighton. The 59.1-percent clip was a season-high and Butler's best three-point percentage since a Feb. 25, 2015 win over Marquette (6-for-10).
• Butler committed only five turnovers, matching the team's season-low.

The Series with the Bluejays
• The Bulldogs and Creighton first met in 1933
• Prior to both programs joining the BIG EAST beginning with the 2013-14 season, the teams had not met since 1975.
• Homecourt advantage has been important in the series. Butler's win in Omaha earlier this month snapped the Bluejays' eight-game home winning streak in the series. Butler owns a 9-4 mark in games played at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Finley Bizjack led four Bulldogs in double figures with a career-high 19 points; 16 of his total came after halftime. He set new or matched his career-highs in field goals (five), three-pointers (three) and free throws (six).
• Butler shot only 40 percent from the field against Marquette.
• Butler held a 39-34 rebounding advantage over Marquette, making it the first game this season that the Bulldogs lost when winning the glass (now 13-1).

DJ Davis made both of his free throw attempts Tuesday against Marquette, raising his season mark to 96.5 percent, which is No. 1 nationally.

• Showcasing the season-long prowess of the Bulldog offense, Butler has allowed 90 points in four games this season...and has won three of those games.

• Butler scored on every possession during the overtime period in the Bulldogs' 103-95 win over Texas Tech Nov. 30. Butler went 4-of-6 from the field, but collected offensive rebounds on both misses and scored. The team went 10-for-10 from the free throw line and did not commit a turnover.
