Butler outfielder Hailey Conger has been selected as the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week as announced on Monday by the conference. She was chosen for her performances at last weekend's Panther Invitational at Georgia State University.

Conger had 10 hits in 19 at bats for a .526 average that included two doubles. The lead-off slap-hitter led her team in all four of those categories.

The Bulldogs, who picked up three wins last weekend, return to action this week, traveling to Madeira Beach, Florida, to compete in the Spring Games from Feb. 23-25.
