The Butler women's tennis program rounds out their weekend of play with a 4-2 win over Arkansas State in Jonesboro, Ark.
Senior,
Delaney Schurhamer claimed the No. 2 singles spot with a victory over Sarah Millard, 6-0, 7-5. Both
Norah Balthazor and
Elle Martin played close singles matches. Balthazor defeated Rebecca Brody in a 6-4, 6-1 finish. Martin beat Emiliya Margolin in a 6-2, 6-3 win. Thus far, in Martin's spring season with the Bulldogs she is 3-0 in singles play.
In doubles play,
Natalie Boesing and
Chase Metcalf defeated Yasmine Humbert and Millard, 6-3. Boesing and Metcalf clinched their second win of the weekend in the No. 1 doubles spot. Schurhamer and
Jordan Schildcrout beat Brody and Abigail Thurmer, 6-3.
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Saturday, February 10
th, where they will take on Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind.
