The Butler women's tennis team fell 4-3 in a hard-fought match against Navy today in Orlando, Fla. The Bulldogs are now 10-8 for the spring season, while Navy improves to 14-5.
 
In doubles play, 
Natalie Boesing and 
Chase Metcalf defeated Sylvia Eklund and Anna Jordaan in a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles. While 
Delaney Schurhamer and 
Jordan Schildcrout beat Makaila Cheng and Julia Lee in a close 6-4 finish at No. 2 doubles. 
 
In singles play, Schurhamer defeated Stella Ribaudo in a 6-3, 6-3 contest at the No. 2 singles spot. Schurhamer finished the Bulldog's Spring Break matches in Orlando, Fla. with a 2-0 record in singles play. Junior 
Norah Balthazor beat Parvathi Shanker in a 2-6, 6-4, 7-5 victory at No. 3 singles. 
 
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Sunday, March 17, where they will take on Xavier in Cincinnati, Ohio for a BIG EAST match up.
