SANFORD, Fla. – Butler ended the weekend with a 21-11 setback to Bradley moving their overall record to 7-9. The Bulldogs scored all 11 of their runs over the first three innings, but would give up five in the fourth, five in the fifth and five more in the seventh to lose the series.
 
Carter Dorighi went 4-for-5 from the plate with a triple, three RBI, and three runs scored. Joining him with three RBI in the game was 
Billy Wurch and 
Kade Lewis. Wurch claimed all three of his RBIs in the second inning with a double. Lewis tripled in the second and added a double in the third to put BU in front 11-3
 
Bradley came back to take the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning. The game moved to 18-11 in the seventh after a three-run home run from O'Brien and action would end in the eighth with the score 21-11.
 
Vogel and Delgado combined for 10 RBI's and the Braves had six total extra base hits to earn the victory. Potthoff tossed five full in the finale and struck out nine Bulldogs to notch the win. The loss went to 
Andrew Crumbley.
 
Grant Brooks struck out six over 3.2 innings of work. 
Shane Kilfoyle, 
Nate Rosser and 
Brett Sherrard also threw for BU against Bradley.
 
Butler will now prep for two midweek matchups against Mid-American Conference teams. They play at Miami on Tuesday and host Ball State on Wednesday. The weekend will feature a four-game home series vs. Dayton. A doubleheader will be played on both Saturday and Sunday.
