Pierre Brooks II combined for nine three-pointers as Butler defeated DePaul, 82-63, Saturday afternoon at Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

With the result, the Bulldogs improve to 17-13 on the season and 8-11 in BIG EAST play. DePaul is now 3-26 (0-18).

THE FLOW OF THE GAME:
- Seventeen straight Butler points turned a 19-15 deficit into 32-19 advantage with 7:56 remaining in the first half. That coincided with a DePaul scoreless stretch of more than six minutes.
- Butler's run would eventually extend to 27-2 and a 42-21 lead with 4:02 remaining.
- Despite missing their final six shots of the first half, Butler shot 55 percent in the first half for a 45-27 lead.
- DePaul cut the lead to 11 in the second half, but never trimmed the advantage to single digits over the final 20 minutes.

OF NOTE:
- Davis led the Bulldogs with 24 points, which included nine makes on 13 attempts and 5-for-8 from three-point range. Sixteen of his 24 came in the second half.
- All 16 of Pierre Brooks II's points came in the first half. His total was his highest since scoring 20 points against Georgetown Jan. 23, a stretch of 10 games.
- Brooks went 4-for-6 from three-point range.
- Butler shot 50 percent from the field in the game. Butler is now 9-1 when shooting 50 percent or better from the field this season.
- Butler had 24 assists, led by nine from Posh Alexander; Jahmyl Telfort added six. The 24 assists were one shy of Butler's season-high.
- Jalen Thomas scored 15 points for the Bulldogs.
- Andre Screen finished with 13 points, the most he has scored in a BIG EAST game this season.
- The Bulldogs committed only six turnovers, the team's 15th game this season with 10 or less.
- Butler had 14 assists against a single turnover in the first half; the 14 turnovers were the most in a half for the Bulldogs this season.
- Jaden Henley led DePaul with 15 points; the Blue Demons shot 44 percent from the field.Â
- The Bulldogs sweep the season series with DePaul after also taking the first meeting between the teams Jan. 20 at Hinkle Fieldhouse (74-60).
- The Butler win snaps a five-game losing streak for the Bulldogs.
- Butler has won nine straight games against DePaul and is now 20-2 against the Blue Demons since the Bulldogs joined the BIG EAST prior to the 2013-14 season.
