The Butler women's tennis team defeated Northwestern Ohio 4-0 today at home. The Bulldogs improve to 12-9 overall for the spring season.
In doubles play,
Natalie Boesing and
Chase Metcalf defeated Alizee Ripolles and Agathe Vaillant in a hard-fought 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles. In addition,
Norah Balthazor and
Lauren Cook beat Jelena Lopicic and Neo Mafuyeka 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
In singles play, Boesing topped Ripolles in a 6-1, 6-1 contest at No. 1 singles. Metcalf followed with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Ana Cetina at No. 3 singles. Balthazor defeated Valliant in a 6-2, 6-1 win at the No. 4 singles spot.
The Bulldogs will wrap up the regular season in Milwaukee, Wis., where they will take on BIG EAST member Marquette on Friday, April 12.
