The Butler women's tennis team fell 5-2 to BIG EAST member Marquette this evening in their last regular season matchup. The Bulldogs now obtain a 12-10 record overall and a 1-5 conference record for the spring season. 
 
In singles play, senior Delaney Schurhamer continues winning ways for the Bulldogs. Schurhamer topped Emma Davis in a 6-2, 6-2 contest at No. 2 singles. Sophomore Chase Metcalf defeated Andie Weise 6-1, 7-5 at the No. 3 singles spot.
 
The Butler women's tennis program will return to action at next week's BIG EAST Conference Tournament in Cayce, S.C. The conference will announce the bracket on Monday afternoon.
