Jamie Kaiser, Jr. will join the Butler basketball program, beginning with the upcoming 2024-25 season, after signing a financial aid agreement.
Kaiser, a 6-6 forward, will have three seasons of eligibility at Butler after transferring from Maryland.
"Jamie is an extremely talented player," said Butler coach Thad Matta. "From talking to coaches and others who have been around him, we know he has a strong work ethic and a drive to improve. His positional size, versatility and his ability to knock down shots will have an impact for us the next few seasons."
Kaiser appeared in all 33 games of his freshman season at Maryland, logging five starts. He averaged 4.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game. Kaiser finished second on the team in steals (32) and third in both three-pointers made (30) and free throw percentage (.778). He scored in double figures five times, including two of the team's final three games of the season.
Kaiser was ranked as a Top 75 recruit nationally in the Class of 2023. Playing his senior season at IMG Academy, he led the team to the semifinals of the Geico High School National Championship Tournament. He was selected to the prestigious 50
th Annual Hoop Culture Capital Classic.
2024-25 Butler men's basketball season tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks.
