The Butler women's lacrosse team fell 20-12 to Marquette this afternoon in Milwaukee, Wis. The Bulldogs now fall to 2-9 overall and 1-2 in BIG EAST play. The Golden Eagles now improve to 5-8 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

Kayla Kielbasa scored the first Bulldog goal of the match assisted by attack
Luci Selander at the 12:30 mark in the first quarter. Selander also contributed a goal in the first quarter. Senior midfielder
Leah Rubino scored two goals, one assisted by Selander to help bring the score to 11-4 heading into the half with Marquette leading.

Sophomore midfielder
Kate Kaptrosky contributed four goals in the second half alone. Kaptrosky topped her Butler career high of goals within a single game. She tied her previous career high with three goal in last week's match against Villanova.
Delaney Hudson netted an unassisted goal early in the fourth quarter. Selander and Rubino also played vital roles within the second half of the match each helping get Bulldog points on the board. Unfortunately, after a hard-fought effort from the Bulldogs, they were unable to defeat the Golden Eagles.Â
