The Butler softball team faces a stiff challenge this week as (RV) Miami (OH) visits the Butler campus for a Tuesday, non-conference, game. The Bulldogs (17-20, 6-9 BIG EAST) are coming off a conference matchup with DePaul in which they took the series, two games to one. The Redhawks (28-6, 11-0 MAC) are on a 15-game winning streak, most recently taking two games from Bowling Green in a doubleheader.

- Ella White was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for offensive performance vs. the Blue Demons. She was 4-for-10 (.400) with a double, triple, and home run, tallying 5 RBI. In game one, she singled in the tying run and scored the winning run in the 2-1 victory. In the game-three, 7-6, victory, she led the team with 3 RBI, two of which came on a bases-clearing triple.
- Sydney Carter and Cate Lehner each also had four hits in the series.
- Katie Petran pitched a complete-game victory over DePaul in game one of the series, posting a 1.00 ERA while striking out four and allowing four hits and three walks.
