The Butler baseball team will come together for their first fall practice on Monday, Sept. 23. The Bulldogs will get three practices in before their first team scrimmage which will take place on Sept. 28. The second team scrimmage will follow the next day. Each scrimmage will begin at 10 a.m.
 
The third team scrimmage is scheduled for Oct. 5 at Bulldog Park. The following week, BU will travel to Ball State to play the Cardinals on Oct. 12. Butler's lone fall home game will be played on campus the next day against Harper College. First pitch in Muncie is slated for 12 p.m. and the Hanover contest will begin at 1 p.m.
 
BU also has team scrimmages set for Oct. 18-19, Oct. 25-26 and Nov. 2.
 
The upcoming 2025 campaign will be year three for Butler Head Coach Blake Beemer. The BU coaching staff has brought in the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year in back-to-back recruiting classes and will pair a strong group of returners with 18 newcomers.
 
Jack Moroknek will be back in the Bulldog lineup this year after a stellar sophomore campaign. Moroknek hit .327 in 2024 recording 69 total hits including 14 doubles, a triple and a team-high 13 home runs. He tied the single-game home run record last year at Eastern Michigan, going 4-for-6 from the plate with three homers and five RBI.
 
On the mound, Ben Whiteside and Nate Rosser are in line to eat up some innings for BU. Whiteside made 20 appearances last year, including nine starts. Rosser struck out 35 batters over 46.1 innings of work.
 
The full 2025 schedule will be released at a later date. Fans are allowed to attend all team scrimmages and the home game vs. Harper.
