• Butler led Marquette, 42-35, at the half after shooting 57 percent from the field over the first 20 minutes. Marquette's defense limited Butler to 26-percent shooting in the second half in taking the win. Butler has led at the half in six of the team's 10 BIG EAST games.
• Butler held a 35-30 rebounding edge against Marquette Tuesday; the Bulldogs are now 7-4 when out-rebounding its opponent.

• Screen is shooting 84 percent from the field over his last four games (21-for-25).
• Pierre Brooks II led the Bulldogs with career-highs of both 29 points and 13 rebounds in Saturday's win over DePaul. It was his second double-double of the season and the third of his career.
• Butler went 10-for-24 from three-point range against DePaul; it marked the Bulldogs' fourth game this season with 10 or more made three-pointers and the first since 12 makes against Mississippi State Nov. 29 to win the Arizona Tip-Off.
• The 86 points against DePaul were Butler's second-highest output of the season and the team's fifth 80-point game this season.
• Butler made a season-best 94 percent of its free throw attempts (16-for-17) against DePaul. Butler's average of 17.3 made free throws per game ranks 24th nationally. The Bulldogs attempt 23.2 free throws per game, which is 33nd nationally. Both of those marks lead the BIG EAST.

• Butler is committing only 14.4 fouls per game, which is the 21st-fewest nationally.
• Despite the recent success taking care of the ball, Butler ranks 345th nationally in turnover margin (-3.5 per game) as the team generates only 3.6 steals per game (354th nationally) and forces opponents into only 7.65 per game (which is 352nd nationally).
• Four different Bulldogs have recorded a double-double this season (Brooks twice, McCaffery, Telfort twice, Screen); five of the team's six double-doubles have come against BIG EAST opponents.
• The Bulldogs defeated Northwestern and No. 25 Mississippi State in taking the Arizona Tip-Off title over Thanksgiving.

• Sorber is one of four Hoyas averaging double figures (Micah Peavy, Malik Mack, Jayden Epps).
• Georgetown allows only 65.1 points per game this season, which is 32nd nationally; the Hoya defense has limited opponents to shoot only 39.5 percent this season (21st nationally).
