• The Bulldogs and Virginia have played only once (a 77-69 Virginia win in the second round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament).
• Butler posted a 79-72 win over South Carolina Friday while Virginia claimed an 83-78 win over Northwestern.
• Butler dominated the glass with a 48-29 rebounding advantage in Friday's win over South Carolina.
• Butler has out-rebounded all five of its opponents on the young season. The Bulldogs rank seventh in the NCAA in rebounding margin (+15.8 per game). The Bulldogs only had six games last season with a rebounding margin of +10 or better but have accomplished the feat in four games so far this season. Michael Ajayi has opened the season (and his Butler career) with five consecutive double-doubles. He scored 15 points and pulled down 14 rebounds in Friday's win over South Carolina.
• Ajayi ranks fifth in the nation, averaging 12.2 rebounds per game. His average of 9.4 defensive rebounds per game leads the country.

Finley Bizjack led the Bulldogs with 18 points in the win over South Carolina. He went 3-for-5 from three-point range.
• Bizjack is 13-for-23 from behind the arc over his last three games (57 percent). On the season, he is shooting 50 percent, which is 38th in the NCAA.
• Butler is shooting 40.3 percent from three-point range as a team on the season, which is 23rd in the country.
• The 79 points scored by Butler in Friday's win over South Carolina were a season-low for the Bulldogs. Butler is averaging 92.4 points per game (35th in the country).

Jamie Kaiser Jr. made all five of his attempts from the floor, scoring 14 points, in the win over South Carolina.
• Butler got to the free throw line 34 times against South Carolina. On the season, the Bulldogs are averaging 31.8 free throw attempts per game, a number that is 12th in the NCAA. The team is only converting those attempts at a 65.4-percent clip.
• The Bulldogs committed a season-low 10 turnovers against South Carolina.
• After the Bulldogs assisted on 48 of their 59 made field goals over the last two games, Butler handed out a season-low nine assists against South Carolina. Butler ranks 43rd in the nation at 18.6 assists per game.
• Butler's bench had outscored their counterparts by at least 18 points in each of the team's first four games this season. South Carolina held a 26-14 scoring advantage off the bench Friday. On the season, Butler is averaging 34.8 bench points per game, which is 49th nationally.

• Butler hit 17 three-pointers in the 98-66 win over Chicago State Nov. 11. That was just three shy of the program record and the most by the Bulldogs since Butler hit 17 against Northern Illinois in a 95-68 win Dec. 8, 2018. Thirteen of those makes came in the first half.

Jamie Kaiser Jr. finished with a career-high 16 points against Chicago State. He registered the first double-double of his career with 12 points and a career-best 10 rebounds against USI in the season opener Nov. 5.
• Butler's 112 points Nov. 8 against IU Indy are the most by the Bulldogs since scoring 144 in a win over The Citadel Nov. 14, 2015.
