Five student-athletes on the 2025 Butler soccer team – Lou-Kent Bosc, Aurie Briscoe, Brendan Cunningham, Peter Tolkin, and Vygo Verkooijen– have been recognized by College Sports Communicators as Academic All-District®.  
 
The 2025 Academic All-District® Soccer Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
 
Bosc, from Nogent-sur-Marne, France, started all 15 matches in which he appeared this season. The outside back was recognized on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after scoring his first collegiate goal and then assisting on Butler's second goal in the 2-2 tie at St. John's. He also notched an assist in the win at DePaul.
 
Briscoe, from Englewood, New Jersey, played every minute of all 17 matches in goal. He earned five wins that included a pair of shutouts vs. Bowling Green and at DePaul. His 60 total saves included a season-high nine vs. Marquette, and he was named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on three occasions.
 
Cunningham, from Saint Louis, Missouri, appeared in 16 matches for Butler with eight starts. He scored his first collegiate goal at Oakland and added a second at St. John's. He notched a pair of assists, and his six total points ranked third on the team.
 
Tolkin, from Chatham, New Jersey, appeared in all 17 matches for the Bulldogs with nine starts in the defensive back line. He recorded six shots over the season and tallied one assist in the win at DePaul.
 
Verkooijen, from Dongen, Noord Brabant, Netherlands, appeared in 15 matches for the Butler with 14 starts. The defender dished out an assist vs Western Michigan and produced six shots over the season with three on frame.
