INDIANAPOLIS - The Pioneer Football League announced the 2025 Academic All-PFL teams on Wednesday afternoon. Archie Cox and Ethan Loss earned a spot on the first team while Andrew Lieske and Onuoha Onye earned a spot on the second team. 
 
Cox was second on the team in receiving yards this season for Butler with 355 yards on 18 catches. Cox scored three touchdowns and averaged 19.72 yards per catch. The redshirt junior also excelled in the classroom posting a 3.91 GPA while pursuing his degree in Finance. 
 
Loss led the Butler receiving corps with 56 catches for 670 yards in 2025. The redshirt junior averaged 11.96 yards per catch and averaged 55.83 receiving yards per game. Loss had one receiving touchdown and also featured in the running game scoring two touchdowns while carrying the rock 31 times for 209 yards. Loss was named to the All-PFL Second Team and earned a spot on the Academic All-PFL First Team posting a 3.81 GPA while pursuing his degree in Finance. 
Lieske played in 11 games for Butler this season at defensive back and recorded 19 total tackles and two pass breakups. The sophomore was vital in Butler's defensive efforts this season and was part of a group that posted 40 pass breakups on the season. Lieske earned a spot on the Academic All-PFL Second Team for his efforts in the classroom posting a 3.92 GPA while studying Marketing. 
 
Onye played in all 12 games for Butler this season and recorded a career-high 37 tackles while adding two tackles for loss. The graduate student led the defense in pass breakups with 10 to his credit in 2025. Onye earned a spot on the Academic All-PFL Second Team after posting a 3.66 GPA while pursuing his MBA at Butler.
