KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Butler women's soccer senior
Talia Sommer has joined three other Bulldogs who have been labeled with All-America status in the history of the program. Sommer was one of 60 NCAA Division I soccer players to be named to one of the United Soccer Coaches' 2025 Women's All-America Teams of Friday. A fourth-team designee, Sommer joins Paige Monaghan (2017), Serina Kashimoto (2015) and Chris Johnson (1994), who were each previously selected to the second team.

This year's All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pa., in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.

Sommer, from Tel Aviv, Israel, finished her career at Butler on several of the program's All-Time career lists. She is tied for fifth with 24 assists and finished seventh with 28 goals and 80 total points. She also landed on several of Butler's single-season lists. She is tied for sixth, all-time, with 29 total points in the 2024 season, and she is tied for tenth, all-time, with 11 goals and seven assists in the same season. The midfielder was named 2025 BIG EAST Co-Midfielder of the Year and was an All-BIG EAST First Team honoree over third-straight seasons.
