Tarleton State won each game of a Saturday doubleheader against Butler to improve to 3-0 on the year. The final game of the four-game series is set for tomorrow at 1 p.m.

Game one was a seven-inning contest with the Texans claiming a 31-5 victory. Game two on Saturday was much closer with Tarleton State edging BU 11-9.

Jack Moroknek led off game one with a home run and head coach
Blake Beemer would also get solo shots from
Tommy Townsend and
Danny Barbero in the fourth.

Tarleton State scored nine runs in the second, fourth and sixth inning to take complete control of the action.

Game two seemed promising for Butler with the Bulldogs jumping out to a 5-0 lead. Barbero sent a ball through the right side of the infield to score Moroknek in the first and homers by
David Ayers and
Jack Bello came in the third.

The bottom half of the third was crucial in the final result with the Texans scoring seven runs. They posted four more in the fifth and held off a BU charge in the eighth to remain undefeated.

Tommy Townsend and
Ryan Drumm each tripled in the contest and Bello added his second home run in the fifth. Bello recorded four of Butler's nine RBIs in the game.

Nate Rosser was great on the mound for BU in the late game. He tossed 3.1 innings, limiting Tarleton State to just two hits. He also struck out three batters.
