728 Student-Athletes Named to 2024 Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll

ST. LOUIS, Mo. –The Pioneer Football League recognized a 728 student-athletes from its 11 member institutions to the 2024 PFL Academic Honor Roll. It is the third consecutive year the league has recognized over 700 student-athletes on its honor roll.
 
Butler had 76 student-athletes earn the honor on Wednesday and now have had 70 or more student-athletes make the cut in each of the last three years. 76 is their highest total since 2015 when the Bulldogs placed 80 student-athletes on the honor roll.
 
Davidson led all programs with 85 selections. Marist (83), Valparaiso (80), Dayton (79), and Butler (76) rounded out the top five.
 
Pioneer Football League athletic director and coaches established the honor roll in 2001 as a way to recognize the league's outstanding student-athletes. The league has recognized over 11,000 student-athletes on the PFL Academic Honor Roll in its 23 seasons.
 
The PFL Academic Honor Roll consists of student-athletes who participated in football at member institutions during the semester of competition and posted a 3.0 grade-point average or higher during the semester while enrolled full-time in accordance with NCAA rules.

About the Pioneer Football League
The Pioneer Football League is the only non-scholarship, football-only NCAA Football Championship Subdivision conference. The PFL is a truly national conference with members on each coast and throughout the nation's heartland. Butler University, the University of Dayton, Drake University, and Valparaiso University were among the league's founding members in 1993, with Davidson College, Marist College, Morehead State University, Presbyterian College, the University of San Diego, the University of St. Thomas, and Stetson University joining to form the current 11-team league.
