Scouting Northern Illinois
The Huskies are 8-14 this year with a 1-8 record against MAC opponents. They were recently swept at home by Central Michigan and then split a pair of midweek games against Eastern Illinois and UIC. Gavin Baldwin and Logan Gregorio are the top two bats in the NIU lineup. Baldwin is batting .356 with a team-best eight home runs. Gergorio is a .341 hitter with six doubles and seven home runs.

Adam Brouwer, Ty Brachbill and Max Vaisvila are projected to start on the mound for the Huskies. Brouwer is a right-hander that has the best numbers of the trio. Over six starts, Brouwer is 1-2 with a 3.90 ERA. He leads the team in strikeouts (39) and innings pitched (32.1).

Brachbill is another right-hander with a 1-2 record on the mound over six starts. His ERA rests at 6.37 and he is second on the team with 35 strikeouts in 29.2 innings of work. Vaisvila is a lefty with two wins on the mound. His ERA is higher at 7.57, but he is another talented arm with 32 strikeouts this year in just 27.1 innings.
