Dylan Grego is the player to keep an eye on for the Bulldogs. He has 57 hits over 37 starts to post a .380 batting average. Grego has 10 doubles, one triple and eight home runs to rank third on the team with 33 RBI's. Nick Husovsky has 39 RBIs to lead BSU and Blake Bevis is close behind with 34.

First Meeting vs. Ball State
The Cardinals defeated the Bulldogs 17-7 back on March 19 at Shebek Stadium. Alex Burden and Will Jacobson did the heavy lifting on the mound for Ball State while Butler went with a bullpen game. In the end, Jacobson would be credited with the win after throwing the final 3.1 innings in a contest that ended after seven. Jacobson had six strikeouts in the outing and didn't walk a batter. The loss for Butler went to Brett Sherrard.

At the dish, Jack Moroknek had a homer for the Bulldogs. BSU countered with Dylan Grego and Nick Husovsky hitting round-trippers. Moroknek was 3-for-4 in the game with three RBI's. Ball State had three student-athletes with four RBIs in the contest.

Beemer Ball State Ties
Before arriving at Butler, Beemer was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Ball State for four seasons (2019-22), Beemer helped the Cardinals to a 123-65 record.

Beemer was also a four-time letterwinner (2010-13) at Ball State, selected by his peers as team captain in each of his final three seasons. As a Cardinal, he had a .286 batting average, registering 108 runs scored and 94 RBI. Beemer earned two degrees from Ball State: a bachelor's degree in 2012 and an MBA in 2014.
