Personal Bests By Craft and Gabay Highlight Illini Twilight and GVSU Extra Weekend Meet

The Butler track and field team split up on Saturday to compete at the Fighting Illini Twight and GVSU Extra Weekend meets. The sprints and field student athletes competed in Urbana-Champaign, Ill. while the distance team toed the line up north in Allendale, Mich.

Cabott Craft set a new personal best at the Fighting Illini Twilight in the men's long jump at 7.28 meters moving him up to fourth in the Big East this season. Austin Gabay added to the new personal records after running a time of 1:50.41 in the men's 800 meters.

Other top Bulldog performers included:

David Slapak finished third in the men's 1,500 meters at the GVSU meet
Charlie Schuman earned a new personal best mark in the men's 5,000 meters 14:59.27 at Illini Twight
Lauren Doerr ran a season best in the women's 100 meters with a time of 12.13 at the Illini Twight
Ashley Learn and Hannah Moore each recorded new lifetime bests in the women's 1,500 meters at 4:37.08 and 4:40.89 at the GVSU Meet
