Cate Lehner has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Second Team. She is one of only 41 NCAA Division I student-athletes in the Great Lakes Region who were selected to the First, Second, or Third Teams.
Â
The Great Lakes Region is comprised of teams from ten conferences and includes a number of programs from the BIG EAST, Big Ten, ACC, MAC, OVC, and NEC. NFCA All-Region athletes are nominated by their NFCA-member head coach and are voted on by the coaches in their division and region. All-America Team selections will be announced May 28.
Â
Lehner, from Indianapolis, Indiana, was an All-BIG EAST First Team selection who led the conference in batting average and stolen bases. The outfielder broke or tied Butler's single-season records for batting average (.438), hits (77), stolen bases (39, and runs scored (42). She also broke a BIG EAST record this season with her 43

Â
Since 2004, Butler has had eight previous selections to NFCA All-Region teams.
Ella White, the most recent selection, was an All-Region Second Team selection in 2024. The only All-Region First Team honoree was Melissa Lemrick in 2004.
