Butler defender Kate Malin has been selected BIG EAST Women's Soccer Defender of the Week following her performance at Central Michigan on Thursday. In addition, Leila Lister was recognized on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

Malin, from Westfield, Indiana, notched an assist on the game-winning goal in her first collegiate start. The defender helped anchor a line that limited Central Michigan to only two shots with one on goal.
 
Lister, from Reading, England, scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in the 2-0 shutout win over the Chippewas. She produced five total shots with four on goal.

The Bulldogs will play two matches this week, hosting Illinois State in their home opener on Thursday and then traveling to Purdue on Sunday.
