Preseason All-PFL selection
Danny Orgler will bring effort and energy to a steady defensive line unit at Butler. He led all Bulldogs with 11.5 tackles for loss last season and will be joined by teammates
Trey Alsbrooks,
Kwame Achampong and
Dawson Hubbard to highlight the front four.
Â
Orgler, Alsbrooks and Achampong played in all 12 games last year, with Orgler coming off the edge to supply the team with 32 tackles and 3.5 sacks. Alsbrooks made 22 tackles including two behind the line of scrimmage and was credited with a sack against Hanover. Achampong is the third member of the trio. He is disruptive inside and found the ball career 13 times to help BU.
Â
Hubbard,
Steven Williams II and
CJ Wilson Jr. are also in line to help out the defensive line unit in 2025. Hubbard was a rotational player as a redshirt sophomore. He played in 10 games and made nine tackles. Williams II played in nearly every game last year and gives Butler a quick step off the snap from the defensive end position. Bulldog fans should also keep an eye on
CJ Wilson Jr., a transfer from Toledo.
Â
Matthew Oudeman,
Jayden Norris,
Frenchi Mack II and
Luke Green will keep the Bulldogs fresh as the game moves along. Oudeman appeared in 10 games last year while Norris was active in five. Norris made some noise at the start of the 2024 season with tackles for loss in back-to-back games, but he was limited to just two PFL games. Mack II was similar in that he played well early but only took the field in two league games. Just like Norris, Green was active in five games for the Bulldogs..
Â
Depth pieces heading into Week 1 include
Shane Siffrard,
Colin Murphy, and
Graham Gilmartin. The rookie class features
Nathan Ash,
Okemdi Eze,
Joe Rodi,
Dantu Gardner Jr.
