Ohama, Nebraska- Saturday evening the Butler Bulldogs fell to No. 16 Creighton in three sets. With the loss, Butler moves to 7-8 on the season and 0-2 in BIG EAST conference play.

• Alaleh Tolliver and Elise Ward each finished tonight's match with 10 kills. 
• Kaylee Finnegan continued to quarterback the Butler offensive, she finished with 20 assists.  
• Ward and Lauren Evans each had nine digs in the match. 

Set 1 Creighton (27-25)
The Blue Jays were able to claim a hard fought first set. Kills by Elise Ward and Ellery Rees helped Butler build an early 10-6 lead. Creighton was able to battle back and the teams traded points until Butler scored three straight to put themselves in front 21-18, thanks to two Creighton errors and a Rees kill. The Dawgs were able to take advantage of a few Creighton errors giving them set point 24-21. The Blue Jays were able to win six of the next seven points, winning the set 27-25. 

Set 2 Creighton (25-15)
An early kill by Elise Ward tied the second set at 7-7, but Creighton responded with a run to take an 18-11 lead. The Bluejays maintained control from there, closing out the set 25-15. 

Set 3 Creighton (25-14)
Elise Ward recorded a service ace and a kill to help Butler keep pace with Creighton early in the third set. However, a 7-1 run by the Bluejays gave them the separation they needed to take the set comfortably.

The Dawgs will travel out east next weekend for a pair of BIG EAST matchups. Butler faces Villanova on Friday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. ET, followed by a Saturday night clash with Providence on Oct. 4, also at 7 p.m. ET.
