INDIANAPOLIS - In conjunction with the Pioneer Football League, Butler football has announced its 2026 conference schedule. Butler will host four league games at the Bud & Jackie Sellick Bowl and will play four conference road games. 
 
Butler will host San Diego, Dayton, St. Thomas and Morehead St. while visiting Valparaiso, Drake, Presbyterian and Marist. The 2026 Division I FCS slate begins the week of August 29 while the PFL schedule begins on September 19. Butler's PFL opener will be against Valparaiso on September 26. 
 
The 2026 season marks the 34th year for the Pioneer Football League. Each league member plays an eight-game schedule to determine the league champion and recipient of the PFL's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Football Championship. 
 
Butler's non-conference schedule is not yet finalized, but the Bulldogs do know that they will be playing at home against Georgetown (KY) on opening weekend (Aug. 29).
