The Butler women's soccer team will play a pair of road matches this week, traveling to UConn on Wednesday and then to Providence on Saturday. It's a crucial week for the Bulldogs as the matches represent two of their final three regular season contests. Butler is one of four teams currently tied for the fourth and final spot in next month's BIG EAST Tournament (the Bulldogs have accumulated nine conference points, as have Seton Hall, Georgetown and Saturday's opponent Providence).

The Bulldogs are coming off a 1-0 shutout win over Villanova, while the Huskies tied Marquette last week. The Friars, who will play Xavier on Wednesday, are currently on a two-game winning streak with recent victories over DePaul and St. John's.
