KENT, Ohio — The Butler women's lacrosse team traveled to Ohio to face Kent State on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Eagles would take the game 10-6.
The Golden Eagles and Bulldogs started back and forth in the first quarter, but Kent State's late back-to-back man up goals would pull them ahead 4-2.
Riley Ryan and
Rylie Smith recorded goals for the Dawgs.
Kent State would score a fast goal nine seconds into the second quarter to take the 5-2 lead. The Bulldogs would score three goals in the second. The three Bulldog goals were scored by
Addison Haines,
Chloe Hall, and
Grace Churchwell. The Golden Eagles would score one more to make it 6-5 at the half.
Kent State came out firing in the third with four goals, while Butler would only score one by
Elise Latham. Kent State would hold the lead 10-6 heading into the fourth.
The fourth quarter would be a physical back and forth with no goals scored by either team to make the final score 10-6.
