INDIANAPOLIS — The Bulldogs look to keep their momentum going at the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational on March 30-31.
Leo Zurovac enters the tournament as the BIG EAST Men's Golfer of the Week following a ninth-place individual finish at the Surf Club Invitational. Zurovac led the Bulldogs to a sixth-place team finish, closing the 54-hole event with a combined score of 842 (10 under).
The team lineup for the tournament includes
Derek Tabor,
Logan Sutto,
Leo Zurovac,
Ethan Blomme and
Luke Kruger.
Will Horne,
Jacob Tarkany and
Johnny Creamean will compete as individuals.
The Bulldogs begin play Monday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start at Highland Country Club, opening with 36 holes.
Other teams in the field include Detroit Mercy, Evansville, Green Bay, Indian Hills, IU Indianapolis, Oakland, Purdue Fort Wayne, Robert Morris, SIUE and Southern Indiana. Ball State, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio State, West Virginia and Youngstown State will send individual competitors.
The tournament is named in honor of the late Don Benbow, who was inducted into the Butler Athletics Hall of Fame for his contributions as a standout football student-athlete, golf and football coach, and athletics administrator.
