Max Winders had a dominant Saturday on the mound for the Bulldogs, propelling Butler to a 6-0 win over Georgetown at Bulldog Park.

Winders pitched eight scoreless innings, allowing only four hits. He struck out five and did not surrender a walk on the afternoon. He improves to 3-3 on the season with the result.
Logan Wiley came on in the ninth to close the door.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fifth inning when an
Aidan Thaxton single was able to plate
Gunnar Duncan.
Connor Sackett's RBI double in the bottom of the sixth gave the Bulldogs a bit of breathing room before they opened up the game with four runs in the bottom of the eighth.

Butler's eighth included a
David Ayers' RBI single, Duncan getting hit by a pitch to force in a run, and a two-run single by
Easton Moore.

The Bulldogs and Hoyas are scheduled for a Sunday noon first pitch. The final game of the three-game series will serve as the rubber match as the teams have split the first two contests of the weekend.
