Jacob Tarkany led the Butler effort at the 2026 Muirfield Shootout as the Bulldogs placed fifth among a 13-team field.

Sutto and Tarkany both shot back-to-back rounds of even-par 72, tying for fourth individually in the 36-hole, one-day event at the 7,068-yard Country Club at Muirfield Village.

The Bulldogs finished at seven-over 583 after a morning round 293 and an afternoon 290. Kent State won the event at 579 (+3). Host Miami (Ohio), Michigan State and Eastern Michigan tied for second at 580.

Liam Nelson of Miami and Charlie Box of Eastern Michigan tied for medalist honors at three-under 141.
