Christian Moore, who averaged 11.2 points per game last season at The Citadel, has signed with Butler. Moore, a 6-6 forward, will join the Bulldog roster beginning with the 2026-27 season.
Â
"Christian is an experienced player with a strong build and a proven ability to make shots at a high level," said Butler head coach Ronald Nored. "Being selected as a team captain at The Citadel showcases the dynamic leader that he is and the impact he will have on our program. We're excited to add him to our group and get him on campus soon."
Â
Moore started 23 of the 31 games he played in for The Citadel as a redshirt sophomore in 2025-26. He finished as the team's second-leading scorer and among the Top 25 in the Southern Conference. Moore hit 63 three-pointers on 39-percent shooting on the season. His average of 2.0 made three-pointers per game was tenth in the conference. Moore scored in double figures 17 times, including three games with 20 or more points.
Â
Moore averaged 8.7 points per game during the 2024-25 season. He played in only nine games during an injury-shortened freshman campaign in 2023-24. A native of Los Angeles, Calif., Moore played at Avon Old Farms School in Connecticut during his prep career.
Â
Nored enters his first season leading the men's basketball program at his alma mater. He arrives at Butler after serving on the coaching staffs with five NBA franchises, most recently as an assistant coach with the Atlanta Hawks since 2023. Nored helped the Bulldogs to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA national championship game as the starting point guard for coach Brad Stevens and concluded his playing career by earning Academic All-America honors in 2012.
Â
The Bulldog roster continues to take shape. StartersÂ
Jalen Jackson andÂ
Drayton Jones return for the 2026-27 campaign and are joined by an exciting group of newcomers.
