Adler Selected Finals MVP, Leading Salon Vilpas to Korisliiga Title

Incoming Bulldog Samu Adler earned Finals MVP honors, leading his Salon Vilpas team to the Korisliiga title. In his team's Game 7 win over Kataja Basket Tuesday, Adler posted 32 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
 
Adler averaged 19.7 points per game in the 2026 Finals and 17.8 points per game during the 2026 playoffs. He scored 20 or more points seven times during the playoffs.
 
The 6-6 guard has played in the Korisliiga, the top league in Finland, for the past two seasons with Salon Vilpas.
 
Over his 36 games played combined in the 2025-26 regular season and 2026 playoffs, he averaged 16.3 points per game and shot 34 percent from three-point range. Adler scored 20 or more points 11 times and registered double figures in 31 games. He handed out 3.2 assists per game and pulled down 2.6 rebounds per contest. Adler also had five or more assists in 10 games during the campaign. He scored 34 points on 11-for-17 shooting against Tapiolan Honka Oct. 7 in the team's second game of the season. Adler led Salon Vilpas to a 22-10 record during the 2025-26 regular season, averaging 14.6 points per contest.  
 
Adler averaged 12.8 points per game in his first season (2024-25) with Salon Vilpas on his way to earning 2025 Rookie of the Year honors. He also has represented his native Finland in FIBA World Cup qualifying and in the 2025 EuroBasket.
