INDIANAPOLIS - Butler swept the Seton Hall Pirates with a 9-2 win on Sunday morning in the series finale. With the win, Butler improves to 19-28 overall and 8-7 in BIG EAST play while Seton Hall falls to 14-25 overall and 2-14 in conference action.

BULLDOG HIGHLIGHTS
- Brock Buckley was sensational on the mound, tossing seven innings, allowing seven hits and only two earned runs while punching out nine.
- Danny Gavin was the lone Bulldog to record multiple hits, going 3-for-4 at the plate with two runs scored and two RBIs.
- Gunnar Duncan recorded a hit, a run scored, two RBIs and a walk.
- Matthew Rhoades tallied a hit and a run scored.
- Gavin Gilmore had a hit, a run scored and an RBI.
- Charlie Schebler recorded a hit and a run scored.
- Logan Baker had a hit, a run scored and an RBI.
- Aidan Thaxton recorded a double, a run scored, an RBI and a walk.
- David Ayers scored a run and drew a walk.
- Logan Crock tallied a hit and two walks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first two frames were scoreless despite both sides combining for five hits.
- With two on and one out in the third, an RBI single from Gilmore plated Butler's first run of the day. A single from Schebler then loaded the bases before a hit by pitch plated another run for the Dawgs. Gavin laced a single through the right side, scoring two more for BU. The Dawgs proceeded to add two more runs by stealing home twice as BU took the 6-0 lead into the fourth.
- Seton Hall scratched two across on an RBI double in the fourth, cutting the Butler lead to four (6-2).
- The fifth was scoreless for both sides. Gavin started the sixth with a leadoff single and was brought home by an RBI double from Thaxton as the Dawgs plated one on the play. With the bases loaded, Duncan ripped a single up the middle, plating two more for BU as the Butler lead grew to seven (9-2) heading into the seventh.
- The seventh and eighth were scoreless for both sides. SHU was unable to mount a comeback in the top of the ninth as Butler secured the 9-2 victory and series sweep.
