Serbian wing Asim Djulovic, who currently plays for Mega Superbet in the AdmiralBet ABA League and Serbian Superliga (KLS), has signed with Butler. He will join the Bulldogs beginning with the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Â
So far this season, the 6-8 Djulovic is averaging more than 13 points and nearly five rebounds per game for Mega Superbet. He registered a career-best 34 points earlier this season in a victory over Zadar Dec. 12. Mega Superbet is currently in the KLS playoffs.
Â
"Asim is a modern, versatile wing who fits perfectly with how we want to play both offensively and defensively here at Butler," said head coach Ronald Nored. "His combination of size, shot-making, and the competitive pedigree he gained at Mega will allow him to have an immediate impact. We've watched him thrive in high-pressure ABA League moments and seen how he impacts the game heavily on both ends of the floor. We're excited he will do that in a Bulldog uniform moving forward."
Â
Djulovic previously played for OKK Beograd in the Serbian Basketball League, most recently averaging 18.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and two assists per game during the 2024-25 season.
Â
Djulovic played for Mega at the cadet and junior levels, winning the Junior ABA League three times, as well as one cadet and one junior national league title, and the Junior EuroLeague trophy in 2022.
Â
In February 2025, he made his debut for the senior Serbian national team in a EuroBasket qualifier against Georgia. He also represented the national team at youth level, most notably at the 2022 FIBA U17 World Cup, where the team finished in fifth place, as well as the 2024 U20 European Championship.
Â
Nored enters his first season leading the men's basketball program at his alma mater. He arrives at Butler after serving on the coaching staffs with five NBA franchises, most recently as an assistant coach with the Atlanta Hawks since 2023. Nored helped the Bulldogs to back-to-back appearances in the NCAA national championship game as the starting point guard for coach Brad Stevens and concluded his playing career by earning Academic All-America honors in 2012.
Â
The Bulldog roster continues to take shape. StartersÂ
Jalen Jackson andÂ
Drayton Jones return for the 2026-27 campaign and are joined by an exciting group of newcomers.
