Butler Announces 2026-27 Men's Golf Schedule

| By:
Butler men's golf and coach Colby Huffman have announced the Bulldogs' 2026-27 schedule, a challenging slate that features 12 events leading up to the 2027 BIG EAST Men's Golf Championship.

The only home event of the season is scheduled for March 29-30 at the Bulldogs' home Highland Golf Club with the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational.

The Bulldogs tee off the campaign in Pittsburgh, Pa., Sept. 14-15, at the RedHawk Intercollegiate hosted by Miami (Ohio).

The fall portion of the schedule also includes events hosted by Ball State (Sept. 26-27), Purdue (Oct. 12-13), and Dayton (Oct. 19-20) before the Bulldogs head to Hawaii for the Pearl at Kalauao Invitational in early November.

The Bulldogs will join most of their conference foes to open the spring season at the BIG EAST Match Play in West Palm Beach, Fla., Feb. 8-9. Butler's second trip outside the Continental 48 takes the team to Puerto Rico for the Palmas del Mar Collegiate Feb. 12-14.

The spring portion of the schedule also includes tournaments hosted by George Mason (the Donald Ross Collegiate Classic in North Carolina; March 8-10), Auburn (March 15-16), West Virginia (April 12-13), and Illinois (April 24-25).

The BIG EAST champion will be decided May 1-3 at the conference championships on Callawassie Island in South Carolina. The BIG EAST Men's Golf Championship was last contested there in 2025.

The Bulldogs return five golfers from a season ago, headlined by Logan Sutto. Sutto placed among the Top 10 six times in 14 events last season and finished the campaign with a scoring average of 71.44. Jacob Tarkany and Ethan Blomme, who were both among the Bulldogs who competed at the 2026 BIG EAST Championship, also return. That quintet is joined by four incoming freshmen for the upcoming season.
